The Future of Websites for Financial Advisors

What if your website never stopped working on itself?

Over the past few weeks at various conferences, I’ve had a chance to speak with the team at WealthReach. What they’re building is pretty interesting, and it got me thinking about where advisor websites are headed.

WealthReach calls their product a “Living Site.” Instead of building a website and leaving it alone (which is what has traditionally been the case), their site has an AI agent built into it that works around the clock. It monitors your rankings on Google and AI search tools like ChatGPT and Claude, drafts new pages when it finds search opportunities you’re missing, and refreshes existing pages when rankings slip.

To be clear, I have not used WealthReach personally, so I can’t speak to whether their technology delivers on these claims. But the concept is what caught my attention.

It’s a fundamentally different model from what most advisors are used to. Right now, most advisor websites are static. They are built on WordPress, FMG Suite, Squarespace, or another platform, and then they sit there. Best-case scenario, maybe you add content once a week and maybe your SEO person makes some updates once a month. But with a platform like this, your website is actively monitored and providing recommendations for improvement 24/7.

Is this what the future of advisor websites looks like? Instead of static sites that need to be manually updated, will the next generation of websites constantly evaluate their own performance and make changes to improve? It’s too early to be sure, but my gut says yes.

I think AI-native platforms like WealthReach are going to outperform legacy platforms that are bolting AI onto technology that wasn’t built for it. So if you’re considering a website change, it might be worth taking a breath and seeing what’s coming before you commit to something that may already be a generation behind.

The takeaway: The static advisor website may be on its way out. Whether it’s WealthReach or something else, the future is a website that adapts and improves on its own. If you’re about to make a technology decision, look at what the AI-native platforms are doing before you sign a contract with a legacy provider.
